Be a Wing Man

Today’s Monday Mindset: Be a Wing Man
One day when I was in eighth grade, my buddy and I were going into the locker room to get ready for practice, and we noticed that some students had forgotten their bags.
He went and started looking and rummaging through their things, trying to find some money.
He found some and put it in his pocket.
I was shocked.
I said, “Bro, what are you doing? Put that money back.”
He said, “Forget about it, man.”
I said, “No, no, no, seriously put that back. I’m not kidding. You’re not doing this. Don’t be that guy.”
Reluctantly, he put the money back.
Sometimes you got to be a wingman for a friend in ways that they might not even like, but that you know is in their best interest.
My challenge to you is to be a good enough friend to others, and be willing to do hard things, even if it makes you unpopular. Even if they don’t like you for it.
That’s what it means to have your friends back, to help them be the best version of themselves.
So be a wingman. That’s my challenge and that’s your Monday Mindset.
