Today’s Monday Mindset: Learn Faster
Most players aren’t great learners and if you want to become great in anything, you’ve got to become a great learner because becoming great requires continuous learning.
So how can you learn faster?
I was sharing with our PGC athletes last week at our first camp of the summer how they could learn 2x as fast, maybe even 3x as fast, as those around them by doing 3 simple things.
The first is to focus more on increasing your eye contact with whoever you’re learning from.
Just by increasing your eye contact, you will increase your concentration and ability to stay present.
The second is to get curious.
By getting curious and asking questions, you will think about what you’re learning about more.
The third is to make connections – connect the dots.
How else can you apply what you’re learning? What other places does it apply?
By doing those 3 things, you will learn faster, and your capacity, or your ceiling in anything, is determined by your ability to learn.
So learn faster, and put those into practice. That’s your challenge, and that’s your Monday Mindset.
